- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★SHOCKING COMPANY - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - CANCELED ON US AN HOUR AND HALF BEFORE OUR PICK UP TO TAKE US TO A FAMILY FUNERAL. I booked the black volvo with John a week ago to take my elderly parents in Dunfermline to a family funeral in Musselburgh. He was scheduled to collect them at 8am this morning, instead he phoned them at 6.30am and cancelled on them, he said the bridge was closed. At 7.15am the BBC news announced that the bridge was open to cars. I phoned John this evening when I discovered that my parents had not been taken to my uncles funeral, I asked him why ? To my shock and astonishment he said he had airport runs to do today and they were more important to him that getting my parents to the funeral. He said after he called my parents at 6.30am and woke them up to tell them he was cancelling, he then went and had a shower, he did not look at the BBC news updates on the Forth Bridge nor did he check his computer or phone for bridge updates. I am absolutely disgusted that he has done this to my family and caused a great deal of upset. There is no re-run of a funeral, I have told John on the phone tonight how disgusted and angry I am. I feel this should be reported to the local newspapers as a warning to others not to use this business. This unprofessional company will let you down as they let us down very badly today ! I dont know how the owner John can live with his conscience... Shocking to say the least.By miriamfraser, March 23, 2020
